The Matches;
19th Century Rifles NRA Black Powder Cartridge Rifle Silhouette rules apply.
Exposed hammer single shot rifles introduced prior to 1896. (Replicas permitted.) Iron sights or scopes allowed.
19th Century Ammunition NRA Black Powder Cartridge Rifle Silhouette rules apply.
Lead alloy bullets only. Black powder only. Cartridge also must have been introduced prior to 1896.
20th Century Rifles Civilian Marksmanship Program Vintage Sniper Rifle rules apply.
Bolt action and semi-auto sniper rifles adopted by a nation's military prior to 1955. (Replicas permitted) Iron sights or scopes allowed. We will allow scopes of 10X or variables if turned to 10X.
20th Century Ammunition Civilian Marksmanship Program Vintage Sniper rules apply. (Basically)
Any safe factory load or hand-load. No FMJ bullets allowed in the silhouette match but OK for paper target match.

The Rules;
COURSES OF FIRE: On Saturday there will be a 40 shot silhouette match using NRA rules. Targets will be chickens - 200 meters, pigs - 300 meters, turkeys - 385 meters and rams at 500 meters. Chickens fired at offhand. All other targets can Be fired at from prone. 19th Century competitors can use crossed stick rest. 20th Century competitors can use sandbags, or sandbag atop ammo can or wooden block but only the forearm of the rifle can be rested.
NO MECHANICAL RESTS PERMITTED. NO SHOOTING JACKETS OR GLOVES PERMITTED. First half of a relay will be 7 ½ minutes with unlimited sighters but the five score shots must be fired in that time. Once a competitor goes for score no more sighting shots are allowed. Second half of a relay is five score shots with no sighters. There will be a 30 second ready command prior to each half of the relay.
On Sunday there will be a paper match with 15 shots each at 300 and 600 yards. Same rules pertain to rifles, ammunition, rests, shooting jackets and shooting gloves.
A relay will consist of a five minute sighting in period after a two minute prep period. Then will follow a 15 minute relay for 15 score shots. The same course of fire will be for 300 and 600 yards.
COMPETITORS CAN FIRE EITHER ONE OR BOTH DAYS. SEPARATE AWARDS AND PRIZES FOR EACH DAY.
COMPETITORS CAN SWITCH BETWEEN 19TH CENTURY and 20TH CENTURY MATCHES, as in they can shoot 20th Century on Saturday but 19th Century on Sunday or vice-versa.
Entry fee will be $25.00 per day.
